Dermaplaning blade treatment
Skincare Treatment 01

Dermaplaning

Instantly smoother, brighter skin — no downtime required.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive mechanical exfoliation treatment carried out using a sterile 10R surgical scalpel blade held at a precise 45° angle against the skin. Using short, controlled feathering strokes, your therapist gently removes the outermost layer of the skin — the stratum corneum — along with the fine vellus hair (commonly known as peach fuzz) that sits on the surface.

Unlike at-home exfoliation tools, dermaplaning is performed by a trained professional and targets a level of skin renewal that is simply not achievable with everyday products. The treatment creates a perfectly smooth canvas: makeup sits flawlessly, serums absorb more deeply, and skin immediately looks more radiant and refined.

The science behind it
  • The skin naturally sheds dead cells through a process called desquamation, completing a full cell turnover cycle approximately every 28–40 days (slower as we age). Dead cells that fail to shed fully accumulate on the surface, creating a dull, uneven texture and forming a barrier that prevents skincare products from absorbing effectively.
  • Dermaplaning physically removes this build-up from the stratum corneum — the outermost of the skin's five epidermal layers — in a single treatment, instantly revealing the fresh, living cells beneath.
  • Vellus hair (peach fuzz) traps sebum, dead skin and environmental debris. Its removal leaves skin hygienically cleaner, and immediately smoother to both the eye and the touch.
  • With the surface barrier lifted, active ingredients in serums and moisturisers penetrate up to 70% more effectively — making your skincare routine significantly more powerful after each session.
What to expect during your treatment
  • A thorough double cleanse and skin analysis before the blade is applied
  • Skin is dried completely — the blade requires a dry surface for safe, effective strokes
  • Short, precise feathering strokes are applied across the forehead, cheeks, jaw, chin, and neck
  • A calming mask is applied post-blade to soothe and nourish the freshly revealed skin
  • SPF 50+ is applied as the final step to protect the new skin surface
  • Treatment time: approximately 45–60 minutes. No redness, peeling, or downtime.
Who is it suitable for
  • Ideal for: normal, dry, combination, and mature skin types. All Fitzpatrick phototypes I–VI.
  • Particularly effective for those with dull, dehydrated, or congested skin, or anyone whose skincare products no longer seem to be working as well as they should
  • Safe to use during pregnancy (unlike chemical exfoliation options)
  • Can be combined with other treatments such as a superficial chemical peel or LED therapy for enhanced results
  • Recommended as a course: every 3–4 weeks, in line with the skin's natural cell renewal cycle
Key benefits
  • Instantly smoother, brighter and more even complexion — visible immediately after treatment
  • Removes dead skin cells and vellus hair in a single pass
  • Enhances penetration of serums, actives and moisturisers by up to 70%
  • Creates a flawless, poreless base for makeup application
  • Softens the appearance of fine lines and dry, rough patches
  • Improves the overall tone, clarity and radiance of the skin
  • No downtime — return to normal activities the same day
Contra-indications
  • Active acne, pustules or open breakouts in the treatment area

Microneedling pen treatment
Skincare Treatment 02

Microneedling

Stimulate your skin's natural renewal — from the inside out.

Microneedling — also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or percutaneous collagen induction — is a clinically proven skin rejuvenation treatment. A specialist device fitted with ultra-fine sterile needles creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries in the skin at precise depths, ranging from 0.5mm to 1.0mm depending on the concern being treated.

These micro-channels trigger the skin's natural wound-healing cascade. The result is a measurable increase in collagen type I and III, as well as elastin — the structural proteins responsible for firm, youthful skin. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied 20–45 minutes before treatment to ensure your comfort, and the open micro-channels allow active serums to absorb up to 80% more effectively during the session.

The wound healing cascade
  • Phase 1 — Inflammatory (0–3 days): The micro-injuries trigger an immediate immune response. Platelets rush to the area and release growth factors (PDGF, TGF-β). The skin appears pink or red — this is a normal and necessary part of the process.
  • Phase 2 — Proliferative (3–10 days): Fibroblasts are activated and migrate to the treatment area. New collagen (type III) and elastin fibres begin to form. The micro-channels close and the skin starts to feel tighter and plumper.
  • Phase 3 — Remodelling (weeks to months): Collagen type III is gradually replaced by the stronger, more organised collagen type I. This is the phase responsible for the long-term visible improvements in texture, firmness, and scarring — continuing for up to 6 months post-treatment.
Needle depths & what they target
  • 0.5mm — upper epidermis. Enhances product absorption, improves radiance and texture. Minimal sensation.
  • 1.0mm — epidermis to upper dermis. Targets fine lines, mild pigmentation, enlarged pores and superficial scarring.
What it treats
  • Acne scarring (ice pick, boxcar and rolling scars) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Surgical, trauma or chickenpox scars
  • Fine lines, wrinkles and general loss of skin firmness
  • Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
  • Stretch marks and skin laxity on the face, neck or décolletage
  • Dull, fatigued or congested complexion
Treatment course & results
  • A course of 3–6 sessions is recommended for optimal, lasting results
  • Sessions are spaced 4–6 weeks apart to allow the full skin regeneration cycle to complete
  • Mild redness, warmth and slight swelling for 24–48 hours is entirely normal and expected
  • Some clients notice skin feeling tighter and looking more radiant within days; deeper structural improvements build over weeks and months
  • Collagen remodelling continues for up to 6 months after your final session
  • Maintenance sessions every 3–6 months are recommended to sustain results
Pre-treatment preparation
  • Discontinue retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and Vitamin C serums for 5–7 days before treatment
  • Avoid sun exposure, fake tan and sunbeds for at least 2 weeks prior
  • Do not have waxing, threading or electrolysis in the treatment area within 1 week
  • Stay well-hydrated — well-nourished skin heals faster and responds better
  • Inform your therapist of all medications, including topical prescriptions and supplements
Contra-indications
  • Active acne, open breakouts or skin infection in the treatment area
  • Blood-thinning medication or anticoagulants (e.g. Warfarin, aspirin therapy)
  • Keloid or hypertrophic scarring tendency
  • Autoimmune conditions or immunosuppressive therapy
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Recent Botox or dermal filler in the treatment area (within 2 weeks)
  • Active cold sores or herpes simplex in the treatment area
  • Diabetes (poorly controlled) — affects wound healing and increases infection risk
Aftercare
  • No makeup for at least 24 hours — the micro-channels remain open and must not be exposed to bacteria or chemicals
  • Apply a hyaluronic acid serum and a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser only for the first 48 hours
  • Avoid heat, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
  • SPF 50+ is essential every day during the healing period — new skin cells are highly UV-sensitive
  • Do not use retinol, AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C or any active ingredients for at least 7 days post-treatment
  • Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate the treated skin as it heals

⚠ Patch Test — Mandatory

A patch test is required at least 24 hours before your microneedling appointment. We will test your skin's response to the topical anaesthetic cream and any serums applied during treatment. This is non-negotiable and is in place for your safety. We are unable to carry out the treatment without a completed and documented patch test. Please contact us in advance to book yours.

Skincare Treatment 03

Chemical Peeling

Resurface, renew and reveal your clearest skin yet.

A chemical peel is a controlled skin resurfacing treatment in which a professionally formulated acid solution is applied to the skin. The acid works by disrupting the bonds (desmosomes) holding dead and damaged skin cells together within the epidermis and dermis. This accelerates the natural process of desquamation — causing the outer layers to shed over the following days — and stimulates the production of new, healthier skin cells beneath.

The depth of penetration and the results achieved depend entirely on the type of acid used, its concentration, its pH level, and the number of layers applied. All peels are selected following a thorough skin consultation and Fitzpatrick skin type assessment to ensure the safest and most effective outcome for your skin.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) — water soluble
  • Glycolic Acid — derived from sugar cane. The smallest AHA molecule, giving it the deepest penetration of all AHAs. Available in concentrations of 20–70% at pH 2.8–3.2. Highly effective for fine lines, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, and mild acne. Suitable for Fitzpatrick types I–III.
  • Lactic Acid — derived from milk. A larger molecule than glycolic acid, resulting in a gentler, more superficial action. pH 3.2–4.0. Unique humectant (moisture-binding) properties make it ideal for dry, sensitive, or mature skin. Suitable for Fitzpatrick types I–IV.
  • Mandelic Acid — derived from bitter almonds. The largest AHA molecule — slowest penetration and the mildest of the AHAs. Has antibacterial properties. Due to its reduced risk of triggering post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), it is the preferred AHA for darker skin tones, Fitzpatrick types IV–VI.
  • Citric Acid — derived from citrus fruits. A mild exfoliant with antioxidant and brightening properties. Commonly used in combination formulas to enhance the action of other acids.
Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) — lipid soluble
  • Salicylic Acid — derived from willow bark. Unlike AHAs, salicylic acid is lipid (oil) soluble, meaning it can penetrate deep into the sebaceous follicle to dissolve the sebum and debris that causes congestion and breakouts. Used at concentrations of 10–30% at pH 2.5–3.5. Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial — the gold standard for oily, acne-prone, and congested skin. Comedolytic: actively unclogs blocked pores. Note: those with aspirin sensitivity should disclose this at consultation.
Combined & Medium-Depth Peels
  • Jessner's Solution — a classic combination peel containing salicylic acid 14%, lactic acid 14%, and resorcinol 14% in an ethanol base. Creates a uniform superficial-to-medium depth exfoliation. Highly effective for acne, congestion, mild pigmentation, and uneven texture.
Peel depth & what it targets
  • Superficial (stratum corneum / epidermis) — AHAs at lower %, salicylic acid, light Jessner's. Brightens, refines texture, targets mild pigmentation. No downtime.
  • Medium (papillary dermis) — TCA 20–35%, Jessner's + TCA, glycolic 70%. Targets acne scarring, moderate pigmentation, sun damage, fine-to-moderate lines. 4–7 days peeling.
Contra-indications
  • Active cold sores or herpes simplex in the treatment area
  • Active acne with open or infected pustules
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) — must have been discontinued for a minimum of 6 months
  • Recent waxing, laser or IPL in the treatment area within 2 weeks
  • Eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the treatment area
  • Known sensitivity to aspirin (salicylic acid peel)
  • Rosacea (type-dependent — assessed at consultation)
Pre-peel preparation
  • Discontinue retinoids and Vitamin A products 5–7 days before treatment
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before your appointment
  • A pre-peel homecare programme (AHA/BHA prep) may be recommended at consultation to prime the skin and enhance results
  • Inform your therapist of all medications, supplements and skincare products in use
Aftercare
  • SPF 50+ must be worn daily — peeled skin is highly UV-sensitive
  • Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser only for the first 7 days
  • Do not pick, pull, or force the peeling skin — allow it to shed naturally
  • Avoid retinol, acids (AHA/BHA), Vitamin C and active ingredients for 7–14 days
  • Avoid heat, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and strenuous exercise for 48 hours

⚠ Patch Test — Mandatory

A patch test is required at least 24 hours before your chemical peel appointment. This is non-negotiable and is in place to protect your skin. We will apply a small amount of the intended peel solution to a discreet area and assess your skin's reaction before proceeding. We are unable to carry out the treatment without a completed and documented patch test. Please contact us in advance to book yours.
